Shalie and Nate were married nearly three years ago, in January of 2007.  Last Friday they were sealed, along with their little girl, in the Salt Lake Temple.  I had the good fortune to be able to take some pictures of this cute family in some wonderful fall weather with changing leaves and flowers…definitely some of the brightest colors of the year! A few of my favorites from the open portrait session last Saturday at Wheeler Farm.  Kids photography is never dull…children always have a surprise in store.  What young kids lack in “smile and say cheese” ability, they make up for with interesting and natural expressions.  Part of the fun of utah family photography is that young kids are plentiful, and our Saturday session was no exception....

It’s been a few years since I photographed anyone out at Saltair, so I’m really looking forward to Sugarhouse Pictures “Saltair Saturday” this weekend May 9th!  I decided I’d better scout the Great Salt Lake before Saturday, and it confirmed my thought at what a fun and unique location it will be for family portraits.  I captured these images while scouting out the shoreline...
