Angie & Cory | Engagement Portraits | Memory Grove

It was warm and sunny yesterday afternoon as I spent a couple of hours with Angie and Cory taking their pictures at Memory Grove near downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.  They’re one of those couples you just know are perfect for each other…  They’re already finishing each other’s thoughts and sentences.

As a portrait photographer in Utah, I love working with people.  Part of what makes it so great for me is the challenge of “coaxing” the true personality into my photography.  I want to see a little glimpse of the soul someone’s portrait.

That holds true not only for individual photos, but in groups as well, and especially with couples.  Couples many times cease to be individuals when it comes to a photo…kind of like 1+1=1.

It’s that unison glimpse of the soul I’m after when photographing couples.  Angie and Cory didn’t disappoint in that arena and it’s pretty obvious they’re soul mates.

Angie and Cory will be married in the Mount Timponogos Temple on July 16th, 2009.
